It is sure that the Iraqi army is passing 2016 with more confidence for the future and in their ability to fulfill their patriotic role in defending Iraq and liberating the rest of its occupied land. And celebrating the anniversary of its foundation is a bonus motivation and an opportunity to give efforts to reinforcing the sure victory in Al-Ramadi and exploit the scattering and collapsing state of the enemy to rush into achieving this patriotic strategy that relies on defeating the enemy, freeing the land, and reconstruction.
This optimistic tone doesn’t underestimate the security and military challenges that face the heroic Iraqi army. Some of which are professional ones like the continuation of training, rehabilitation, securing weaponry, and preparing the fighting formations and the special assigned troops to assume their role in defending the country against possible dangers, and most importantly to rebuild the fighters’ psychologically and spiritually and develop their persistence and readiness to sacrifice and bear with the hard crushing circumstances on the field. As for the other tasks, they are to participate in reconstructing the liberated districts and cities and spreading peace in them and preparing them for the return of emigrants and restoring normal life and stability. That brings back hope to the Iraqi soldiers who are ready to sacrifice their lives and strengthen their patriotic glow, and honors their glorious history and honorable roles and bring truth to their motto (the Army is for War and Reconstruction).
We hope that the military institution would learn from the rich lessons of past experiences and follow professional and patriotic standards in selecting the leaders and decision makers of high positions and staff all the while moving past racism and sectarianism, and hold onto the value of sacrifice for the sake of the motherland.
We also call for honoring the fallen and follow up with their families and checking up on them, and their rights, that also goes for the wounded and their medical treatment and needs. We also call for taking care of the military retirees from officers, rankers, and soldiers, as were are the lights on the long road to glorious history.
